Riff Raffs - Croydon
2025-09-14
Address: 28 George St, Croydon CR0 1PB
Pouring from: 6 kegs and 1 still cider (no ales!)
We drank: Session Pale by Vocation and a Still Lane by Rutts Lane
In a slight change of tempo for this blog, we're at a bar! So while the lack of ales is very saddening, we won't be docking any points for that. Decent selection of beer and ciders and they were kept well and tasted fresh.
Very alternative, vintage and vinyl focussed. Not overly comfortable seating (chairs you might find in a cafe), but was kept warm (unlike the previous pubs we visited today).
A surprising number of children were around but at least they were mostly quiet.
While Metallica and the Offspring are neither my nor TBWs favourite bands, pretty far from it, it was in our general wheelhouse which is good.
No food provided but you can bring anything in. People sitting near us got Popeyes from around the corner - was a bit jelly.
Unsure if it's always like this, but the clientele were inordinately loud. Yelling across the pub "well why don't you leave me the fuck alone" and other things. Not fun or friendly.
