The Blue Bell - York
2025-04-07
Address: 53 Fossgate, York YO1 9TF
Pouring from: 5 casks and 4 kegs
A real estate agent might call it cosy - only consisted of 2 rooms, each no bigger than your childhood bedroom. Still has all the charm as it must've had the over 100 years when it was last renovated.
It's small size and moderate selection of beers doesn't keep anyone away though; we only managed to get in the second time we came.
The pub has a lot of history and seems to get a lot of both tourists and locals. Always an excellent sign when the pub seems to have at least some locals there - not the case for a good chunk of the other place around the more central parts of York.
