Historic art nouveau pub on the castle Garth with views of the Tyne; beautiful interior and excellent cask ale choices focused on local offerings. Listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide every year since 1998. Service was quick, toilets clean and in good order. A highlight of our sampling of Newcastle's historic pubs.
