Unfortunately the ales were Landlord and Doombar so we settled for Laine. They're good, not overly exciting stuff though.

Previously called the Dog and Bull but relaunched in May 2025 as The Dog with a refreshed outdoor area they call "the Wilderness" (I dare you to read the copy on their website about it🤮)

Ignoring the cringey booking site, the space is quite nice with heaps of tables and booths and an outdoor kitchen, which seems to offer fried chicken dishes, though it was not open when we visited. Unfortunately there's an enormous TV outside just in the sports channel even though there was no sport on. A bit of a pet peeve of ours. The indoor of the pub is also still nice and classic. The bar is pretty.
