From the outside, one might expect to be a little bit flag-shagger-y with all the red, once you come in and are met with a low cieling I had to duck down to get into, you realise its not the case at all.

Happy groups of locals spread around the 3 room pub and out door area.

Great selection of beers, always happy to see Lacons, at a great price - £10.50 for our 2 pints.

We sat in the outdoor area which is a little courtyard which feels like it might be wanting to suggest you're in continental Europe, but you most definitely aren't.

The indoors are classic old English pub cozy covered with the horse brasses and comfortable seating surrounding a couple of the rooms.

To say the toilets were a let down would be to undersell it. I'm fairly sure the urinals were plumbed such that the poss would drain into an open drain - it smelt worse than that though.

Only one toilet for the ladies; and when waiting outside the door a member of staff was quite rude about it being "a private space" even though the door was open so the "private" sign could not be seen and it was literally half a metre away from the toilet door - not really many other places to wait! Left a bit a bad taste in our mouth as we were about to head out.
