Address: Shere Ln, Shere, Guildford GU5 9HS

Pouring from: 4 casks and 8 kegs

We drank: Surrey Nirvana by Hogs Back and a house Pale Ale

NB THIS IS A GREENE KING

The pub has quite a long history, including a ghost, which always adds a bit of mystery.

Interior is really quite standard for a country pub, but is very nice. We sat outside which wasn't quite as nice. No grass, no view, no nothing to write home about.

I was worried when they started pouring the casks as it didn't seem like they had poured any yet today. But I had nothing to worry about. The Hogs Back was delicious. Other one was just okay.

We ordered a sticky toffee pudding and a baked cheese, bread, bread, butter relish and piccalilli. Both were really excellent. Highly recommended after a good 18km walk.
