Yard by Hand Brew Co - Worthing
2026-10-04
Address: Unit 6, Dominion Trade Centre, Dominion Way W, Worthing BN14 8NT
Pouring from: 6 kegs, no cask
We drank: Shaka (Pale Ale), Fest (Marzen Lager), Pilsner, Lobo (maybe - it was some other Pale Ale, but I can't find it on their website)
Very well hidden down a side road in the middle of an industrial estate in the middle of the industrial area that appears to be most of North East Worthing. No signs at the end of the road, just one minimal "YARD" sandwich board near the end of the cul-de-sac - couldn't even see it from the road!
Good sized outdoor area looking onto some sort of chemical plant. Great if you like the look of industrial things! Standard tap room tables and stools and we very much enjoyed the sun there.
2 indoor rooms. One very large one where the bar is that also looks out onto the brewery equipment. The smaller one for some reason felt a bit like a kids play area (fortunately no kids to be found when we went).
Beer is all their own and someone else's cider.
Moderately priced by was very delicious. All tasted very "modern brewery keg" which isn't bad, but does give a bit of an overly familiar vibe to many other brewery offerings. Not sure what it is exactly, but I reckon I can taste the way they force carbonate the beer. Also served very cold, again, not a problem, but not 100% my preferred style.
Food options were 4 variants of cheese toasties: onion, tomato, pepperoni, and ham. Some of the best toasties that we have ever eaten!
