Huntingdon to St Neots
2025-06-29
Total Distance: 18.5km
Difficulty: Easy
Time Taken: Just over 4 hours.
Getting There: Thameslink train from Kings Cross to Huntingdon.
This walk was absolutely fantastic. Part of the reason was the weather (absolutely perfect just the start of summer weather) so I would highly recommend you go a similar sort of time.
The river Ouse had an endless supply of damselflies, dragonflies, and various birds. We're pretty sure we saw a River Warbler even (although... the chances it actually was that does seem low). We at least know it wasn't a Reed Warbler because we saw a bunch of them too and this one was different.
We ended up at The Ale Taster at the end which was an excellent pub (need to add a review for it).
We were staying in Huntingdon which we'd also recommend for a couple nights. It's different enough from London, not too popular, a few good restaurants, some interesting history, just good overall. Highly recommend staying at the Wetherspoons (only 60 quid a night!).

100% would do this again at the same time of year. The wildlife was amazing!
